Two-Page Website Sales Letter sales letter, website, web sites

The two-page sales letter is used on many of the most successful websites. It's an old formula that never seems to stop working.

Page one starts with a big announcement to get your attention. There is usually a big promise of some kind. Statistics and dollar amounts are always good. "I increased sales 725%" or "I'm earning $2,000 per week!"

Follow that with a bit about how so many people are failing. There are dozens of horrible pitfalls the unwary newbie can stumble into.

Wrap up page one with a glowing explanation of your product, service, or program and why it will solves all the reader's problems, delivering them into the promised land of extreme success.

Page two is for the hard-sell types. This is for the 75% of people who need LOTS of solid details before they will buy. Page two runs down a long list of features and benefits that the product offers.

End by giving the reader an outrageously high original price, then slash it down to your real, much lower, price. Include two or three bonus offers to pad the sale.
